I enjoyed this picture 100%. I am now entitled to look through your whole portfolio/ gala! Do any of the pictures of art you do make you think you did well? Or do you think you find them at their best ?
If I may ask, do you use different settings for your brushes when you paint? (like dodge, hard light, etc) or do you simply go with a change of tones to bring the lines to life in a way that only you do
Thanks, Gat I experiment; mostly it's just blending colors like in traditional painting until I get the result I want, but sometimes I also use dodge/burn/saturate/desaturate tools, different blending modes on layers, photo filters etc. There's no one receipt for given result. Painting gives better control on what you do, but Photoshop tools other than brush can give you new effects you didn't think about earlier or speed the coloring up a little.
My, oh my! Jamie may do good lineart, but you do speechless coloring. I can't imagine how you always get your colors to look so alive, smooth and free. The clouds look like something you'd see out of the window of an airplane and the highlights on Kara's cape and hair show the sunlight perfectly. Fantastic job Ula!
